TfNSW Trip Generation Studies

As an ongoing program of updates to Transport for NSW Guide to Traffic Generating Developments, Bitzios Consulting, in association with our affiliate company Traffic Data and Control, was engaged by TfNSW to undertake trip generation and parking studies six specific land uses throughout metropolitan and regional areas of NSW.   These include:

• Fast food outlets
• Drive-through coffee outlets
• Car wash-cafe outlets
• High density residential developments not near Rail Stations
• Suburban shopping centres
• Golf courses
• Low density residential developments

These studies involved extensive data collection and analysis. The studies provided recommended trip generation and parking generation rates to include as TfNSW ‘Technical Directions’.
