Brisbane Inner North Interchange Transport Modelling

Cross River Rail will introduce a new three-sector rail operating strategy for South East Queensland (SEQ). The new CRR track alignment joins the existing Caboolture Line /North Coast Line just south of Albion Station and the proposed rail timetabling will see all services from the Caboolture / Kippa Ring and Shorncliffe lines stop at Roma Street and Albert Street Stations. This means that for these passengers to access Central station, Fortitude Valley station or Bowen Hills Station, they will need to transfer trains either at Roma Street, or in the inner north between Northgate and Albion. Bitzios Consulting undertook the strategic demand modelling to determine the patronage, impacts, and benefits of alternative rail-to-rail transfer options within the inner north part of the rail network between Northgate station and Albion station.  The work informed the selection of the preferred station upgrade location(s). The modelling used the SEQSTM-MMv2.3.3.
