Waverley’s People Movement and Places

The Waverley LGA is unique when considering its complex transport demands, land use structure, geography and topography.  Waverley Council identified the need for a strategic study to be undertaken and engaged Bitzios Consulting to prepare a report on “Waverley’s people, movement and places of where we go and how we get there”.  This project developed strategies to be applied across the Waverley LGA and within its key centres.

These were integrated land-use and transport strategies specific to the challenges being faced at this “end of line” beachfront area.  Many of the challenges investigated are similar to those we have seen in Newcastle.

This study won a Planing Institue of Australia (NSW) Commendation in 2017.
